Premier Badminton Award
The academic year started just three weeks ago and already Benfield School has been recognised for the hard work and effort they put into Badminton as they received the very prestigious ‘Premier Badminton School Award’ on Monday 21 September 2009 from Jo Clarke (regional manager for Badminton England).
Benfield School is the only State School in Newcastle to have received the Premier School Award and with this accreditation they will work very closely with the head coach of the Newcastle Performance Centre (Rob Wetherell) to ensure Benfield School continues to go from strength to strength.
